With hurricane season starting June 1, it is time to observe a CA tradition: The annual Hurricane Party, designed to appease the hurricane deities into always showing us the picture on the right, and never the one on the left. Snacks and beverages provided to include – of course – hurricanes. Be there, or get blown away!
There are two more events coming up:
June 1 – Hurricane Preparedness Workshop
June 4 – Quiz Night

For the third consecutive year, Monterrey will field a group of runners in the local 5K Race Against Homophobia to mark the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia. The consulate normally registers as a group and wears matching t-shirts specially designed for our event. Last year, we met up just before the finish line and ran across as a group generating a large amount of positive press coverage. If you are interested in joining us for the race, please email Daniela Cornejo no later than May 7. For those who ran last year, we will use the same shirt as we used last year so you don’t need a new one if you already own one.
If you’re interested in running, please register here: https://5kcontralahomofobia.boletia.com.
If you need a t-shirt, please email Daniela by COB May 7th with your t-shirt size. Shirts are dri-fit and run a bit small. The cost for the shirt will be $190 pesos. See design below.
